About the 2ND Edition of The AI Forum Nigeria

Following the success of the 2025 edition themed Goodbye Digital Transformation, Hello AI First Business, The AI Forum Nigeria returns in 2026 with a sharper and more practical focus. The 2025 forum successfully elevated awareness and shifted executive mindset, revealing strong interest but also a critical insight only a small fraction of Nigerian organizations have meaningfully begun their AI journey.

The 2026 edition responds directly to this reality. Rather than rushing into pilots and scale, the forum, under the theme “Building an AI First Business Roadmap for a Scalable and Adaptive AI Future” will deep dive into how to “Prepare Leaders, Systems, and People for an evolving AI Future”, with focus on laying the right foundations required for sustainable and responsible AI adoption.

From leadership and people readiness, technology and data infrastructure to talent, governance, and use case prioritization, the event will equip decision makers with the building blocks needed to move from intention to capability.

As part of a multi year strategy, The AI Forum Nigeria is committed to driving real AI outcomes, accelerating enterprise readiness, and positioning Nigeria as a leading AI economy and AI state. 2026 is where preparation becomes progress.

MARKET OVERVIEW OF THE AI ECONOMY AND OPPORTUNITIES IN NIGERIA

AI is expected to add $2.9 trillion to Africa's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2030, and Nigeria's AI market is projected to reach $434.4 million

AI is Enhancing Operational Efficiency in Nigerian Banks leading to more investment in AI to automate routine tasks and optimize resources and improve customer satisfaction through personalized services and real-time support, particularly among tech-savvy users.

At-scale deployment of generative AI with telcos in Africa can unlock $6.0 billion to $9.6 billion in economic value

More than 80% of retail executives expect their companies will adopt AI automation by 2025. Some 75% of executives anticipate using AI to design, collect, or summarize data

Generative AI could deliver up to $103 billion in annual economic value for Africa, with sectors like retail, telecom, and banking showing strong potential, according to McKinsey & Company

Access to Quality Data in Africa is a Challenge in scaling AI adoption, with only 28% of organizations in Africa having access to quality data, highlighting a significant gap that needs to be bridged, creating an immense opportunity for solution providers
